Nature Journaling for Homeschoolers at Chatfield Farms: Miniature Landscapes
Learn how seeing the big picture of a landscape painting becomes easier when we break it down into smaller parts. Join us as we focus on the scenery and landscapes of Chatfield Farms, all while capturing our questions and observations in pages for a natural journal.
Nature Journaling is a practice that encourages close observation of the natural world. Taking notes, collecting measurements and making illustrations are all components of a robust nature journal. The Nature Journaling for Homeschoolers program offers homeschoolers and their grownups the opportunity to work side by side to examine the environment from a fresh perspective. During these guided programs we'll connect illustrations with scientific observations to allow us to think about the world around us in new ways.
