Homeschool Science Supplement at Plains Conservation Center: Chemistry of Food

What's in your food? This class will start with an exploration of the organic molecules that make up all living organisms. Then students will discover which types of organic molecules are in different foods through a number of chemical tests. Once students have learned what is present in the foods we eat, we will make connections to nutrition and meeting the needs of our bodies.

Homeschool science supplement classes are designed for

4th-9th graders to expand on their scientific knowledge and skills.

Audience: Families with children in grades 4-9

Program Fee: $8 per child, $6 per member child; $8 per adult, $6 per member adult
