What better way to celebrate Earth Day than at Denver Botanic Gardens? Join us to be inspired by the natural world and learn new ways to support the health of your neighborhood’s flora and fauna and steward our planet’s health.

Tuesday, April 22 is Earth Day and an SCFD free day at York Street and Chatfield Farms. This event will sell out; please get your tickets in advance. No onsite tickets available for sold out days.

Chatfield Farms Free Day

Wander the gardens and get inspired by the natural world and connect with plants, especially plants of the Rocky Mountain region. These activities will take place from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. and food trucks will be onsite 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Chatfield Farms is open 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

  • “Travel” around the property to different hands-on activities and learning stations, earning stamps in your Earth Day Passport along the way
  • Learn about the research, conservation and restoration projects along Deer Creek
  • Discover ways you might make different choices in your yard and neighborhood to benefit our native flora and fauna
  • Try some art-making activities for the whole family
  • Take a tractor ride through our wetlands and see if you can spot plants native to Colorado
